Gemology is the study gems- a field that requires both a great keen eye and deft handling if the miniature-to-large gemstones. A Gemologist also needs to possess a flair in finding out the original piece and separate it from the fakes. This profession requires a perfect vision, patience to put up with slow work and a stimulating enthusiasm for gems. Of course, ample lighting and a peaceful atmosphere are prerequisites for a gemologists’ office.
